write a 750 word essay on ted bundy in defense of his crimes using different theories A+ Writers | apluswriters.net

QUESTION In the reading this week chapter 1-2 (Serial Murderers and Their Victims), we were introduced to several profiles of serial and mass murderers.

You are going to be selecting one case study to write about in-depth, from the perspective of defending the offender. You will use different theories from victimization to discuss and explain their actions from a Victimologist’s or Criminologist’s point of view. Look through this chapter, as well as the book (use the index in the front to quickly scan the titles of different profiles and case studies) and select one that you would like to write about. Please give the title of it and why this case study intrigues you.

ANSWER I choose Ted Bundy as my final project. His life is full of controversy and many theories can be hatched as to why he killed as he did. He was rejected his whole life. His mother, his biological father (who may have been his grandfather), kids at school and the love of his life rejected him. After this he began to kill people. My title will be “I deserved to be loved”.

In chapter 1 of Karmen’s “Crime Victims: An Introduction to Victimology” we are introduced to what victimologists do. There are four basic steps (p. 25-29) that he discusses that criminologists go through when looking at a situation:

Using these steps, and the information that you have read in the texts to complete a thorough case study on one of the criminal cases learned about in class (Do not use any of the case study subjects from the previous assignments in this course).

In your case study, use the theories and ideas in victimology to identify, define, and describe the problem.Measure the real dimensions of the problem (e.g., explain the perpetrator’s actions), and specify how the victims were handled, as well as the criminal justice process (how evidence was gathered to test the hypotheses).Include the outcome of the prosecution, the victims, and their families.

Your paper must be formatted in the following manner:

·The paper must be 750 words in length (roughly three pages). Only the body of the paper counts towards the length. No information that belongs on a title page or reference page will count towards the length requirement.

·Please follow APA guidelines; provide a title and reference page, use Times New Roman 12 point font, and double-space your lines. You need to have five references, two of which can be your textbooks from this class; the references for these can be found in the course syllabus.

(So pretty much the paper must be written in defense of his actions or why he is justified for his actions. He never knew his dad, so we can say he was raised with a single mother theory. The two men his mom said could be his dad never wanted him (no proof they even existed really). It is believed the grandfather raped the mom and when she got pregnant, she was sent to a home for pregnant women. After having him she came home. He was raised with his mom, grandpa, grandma and aunt. The grandmother was very passive suffered from depression. The grandfather was said to be abusive, so that is one theory that he learned how to be abusive to women. He was ostracized at school by his classmates so he did not have any friends, this could be another theory of mental health. His mom married and his stepfather adopted him. His mom and the new husband had kids together so the blended family could be another theory. His first love rejected him, and he began killing women who looked like her.)

In his defense or goal is to show how he was lacking physical touch, love, nurturing and acceptance from everyone he knew. He was taught violence against women by his grandfather and his first love rejecting his set him off. Lets also determine if he was bipolar or had multiple personalities because he was very smart and had a bachelor’s degree in psychology I think (don’t quote me though)
